Myofascial Release Therapy
WORKING with THE BODY and HELD EMOTIONS
The intention of a Myofascial Release Therapy session is to unravel the root of pain. Systemic tightness can be the source of chronic pain caused by physical trauma, injuries, surgeries, lack of movement, or held emotions in the body. Myofascial Release Therapy opens the body using gentle pressure inviting the muscles, fascia, and tension to let go.
This releases restrictions and tightness in the connective tissue that build in the body over time. Along with the physical, there can be an emotional release during or after the session. The feeling of relief often experienced after a session, is the body letting go of the past, which is held in the muscles.
